Whole Foods has teamed up with Monsanto to “ban” GMO labeling across the United States, and it isn’t unfolding easily. The company has been caught lying to customers about its support with Monsanto.
Monsanto Company is a publicly traded American multinational agrochemical and agricultural biotechnology corporation. Basically, they genetically modify agriculture.
Natural News published a report showing that Whole Foods has joined up with Monsanto to support a GMO “fake labeling” bill in the United States senate. A GMO (genetically modified organism) is the result of a laboratory process where genes from the DNA of one species are extracted and artificially forced into the genes of an unrelated plant or animal. This proposed new law would outlaw GMO labeling nationwide for up to two years, then roll out a GMO labeling “compromise” that would allow companies to use QR code (machine language) labeling that isn’t readable by humans. The law is fraudulent. It would destroy the only existing labeling law that requires real and honest labeling.
The Whole Foods CEO, Walter Robb was captured on video openly supporting the Monsanto-engineered GMO fake labeling law. This is something that can not go overlooked. Walter Robb claimed that the Vermont Law is too complex to follow and therefore a federal labeling compromise is to be made. They say it should only require labeling in machine code that humans can’t even read.
This is really shocking, especially because Whole Foods is supposed to be one of the few places that we can trust to provide wholesome non-GMO food items. However, it seems that they are just like every other corporation out there. You never know who you can trust!
