Vegan Chocolate Mug Cake

As a vegan, it is not always easy to find a good cake recipe, but this one really takes the cake! It is so simple and fast that you will not even realize it isn’t a convenience food; you will have a personal sized delicious cake in under 5 minutes.

Yes, you read that right! You can have a delicious cake in five minutes or less, it is a perfect midnight snack and I bet you already have these ingredients on hand. Now, what are you waiting for!? Stop reading and start cooking.

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 Cup flour
  • 1/3 cup+ 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp cacao
  • ¼ tsp baking soda(aluminum free)
  • Pinch of salt
  • ½ tsp vinegar
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp coconut oil
  • 2-3 tbsp water

Method:

Combine all dry ingredients in a bowl, and whisk until well combined. Add the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and whisk together until smooth.

Pour the batter into a ceramic jug or mason jar. Microwave on high for 1 ½-2 minutes. Remove from the microwave and allow to cook.

I like to top mine with whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and chocolate chips! What will you top yours with!?
