Dasani bottled water contain four ingredients. The label claims that these ingredients are added for flavor but should we really be drinking them?
First off the main ingredient is tap water. if I were going to be drinking tap water I would simply drink it straight from the tap. The next ingredient itself is a little more serious.
- Magnesium Sulfate– Also known as Epsom salt. On its own this is considered a drying agent. Why would a drying agent be added to a drink that is supposed to be quenching someone’s thirst? This ingredient has been used outside of Dasani in order to delay labor and can cause birth defects.
- Potassium Chloride– This is used in lethal injections in order to stop the heart and is known to have a bitter taste. This is also used as a fertilizer, so why is it in our water?
The last ingredient being salt is not anywhere quite s hazardous to our health as the last two I mentioned but salt intake should be monitored. Do you think picking up that bottled water is such a good idea after reading this?
