Sure when we gain weight we are quick to blame it on things like carbs or fats, but sometimes those things are not the underlying culprit. Sugar can make you gain weight just as easily.
Now, if you only consume moderate amounts of sugar then you should be fine, but if you’re anything like most of the people here in the US chances are you consume just a little too much sugar. Sugar is added to almost everything and is hard to avoid. When we are ingesting too much sugar our bodies will tell us by giving us signs, for example, we may become hyperactive, depressed, overly sleepy, have a headache, or even become disoriented.
Too much sugar can cause things like heart disease, cancer, and diabetes so it is definitely something we need to pay attention to. When we ingest too much sugar our bodies use what little they need to boost energy and store the rest as fat. Yes, it adds to the flubber. Artificial sweeteners actually specifically cause weight gain in the belly area which we all cannot stand.
Quitting sugar at least for a little while will benefit you in a big way. At first, you will go through a few withdrawal symptoms and feel like shit but once you get past that phase you will feel wonderful. If you want to give a sugarless life a go then this cleanse is what you need. All you have to do is give up sugar for three whole days (added sugars you can still have natural sugars in moderation.)

When it comes to what you should drink during this three day period you can have unsweetened herbal or green tea (no more than three times a day), water, or one cup of black unsweetened coffee per day. This diet is also supposed to be able to calm those sugar cravings down as well. Give it a go, maybe you can make it through all three days.
Once the three days are up you could go back to your unhealthy overindulgence of sugars or you could cut back and do things in moderation. That is all up to you. For some information on the dangers of added sugar please take the time to watch the video below. Will you be giving this a try?
