Common indoor molds can cause a wide variety of health issues and should be taken care of right away. Lots of people are sensitive to mold exposure so this is one of those better safe than sorry scenarios.

If exposed to mold they could end up dealing with something as minor as a slight skin irritation or something as severe as infection of the lungs. We already know how to get rid of mold in the other areas of our house but our washing machine is a little tricky. Even if you clean all of the mold in your washer there is still a good chance mold spores will still survive and you’ll be dealing with the same issue in just a short period of time.

Directions:

  • Mix 2 cups of white vinegar with 1/2 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice.
  • Mix this well.
  • Pour it into a spray bottle.
  • Spray heavily infested molded areas and allow it to sit for at least 45 minutes.
  • Dab a napkin with this then proceed to wipe down until the mold is gone.

Be sure to keep a check on your washer in order to ensure the mold does not come back. if it does repeat this process again. This is also a mixture that can be used throughout the rest of your house and is completely safe.
