Ingredients:

  • ½ tsp of ground ginger
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • ½ cup of water
  • ¼ of a spoon of ground cloves
  • 1 tbsp of honey
  • 1 tbsp of lemon juice

Instructions:

Take a pan and add the sugar and the water into it. Then, add the lemon juice, the honey and the ginger. In the end, add ground cloves. Turn the heat on and stir well. When it starts to simmer, stir again and lower the heat. Then, leave it simmering for about 15-20 minutes, making sure you stir it regularly. While the ingredients are simmering, line a baking tray with a baking paper. After 15-20 minutes, take the pan off the heat and leave it to cool down. The mixture should be thick and dark. Use a spoon to put the syrupy mixture on the tray.

When you place the mixture on the tray, let them cool down for 20 minutes and cover them with a dusting of powdered icing sugar. This will prevent them from sticking. Take them off the paper and make sure they all are well coated. The sweets are ready! Put them in your mouth and let them dissolve slowly!
