What to do?
Many people become fed up with their loss of smell and they immediately head to the doctor’s office. The second most common thing is over medicating yourself with conventional drugs, but there is no need for them though! There are many natural treatments that work better than the drugs.
One of the best methods is the tongue and finger method:
Push your tongue to the top of your mouth and place a finger between your eyebrows and apply a small amount of pressure. Hold it there for around 20 seconds, and your sinuses will begin to drain.
You will feel a great amount of relief, but do not stop there! Here are a few more effective natural methods that will get rid of your infection and keep it away!
Break up thick mucus with a few drops of Eucalyptus or Peppermint oil in hot water. With your face down over the water, drape a towel over the back of your head and inhale the steam.
Apple Cider Vinegar
Combine 1-2 teaspoons of raw, unfiltered organic apple cider vinegar in 6 ounces of water, add in a teaspoon of raw honey or even stevia if desired and drink this 3 times a day for 5 days.
Salt Water Rinse
If you are prone to sinus infections and you don’t have a Neti pot, you’ll want to get one. They make it so much easier to irrigate your nasal cavity, clearing out unwanted mucus and any inhaled contaminants that may be caught in there. Use your Neti pot twice a day for best results!
It is also important to remember to stay hydrated, and while you are sick as well as every day you should be eating a healthy vitamin, mineral, and antioxidant rich diet!
