We all experience some aches and pains from time to time, but some types of pain are serious. You should especially take notice if you experience these types of pain.
Like I said before, we all have aches and pains from time to time. While some are merely nothing but age, some of them can be deathly serious. You can usually tell what’s serious and what isn’t, but if you’re experiencing any of these 7 types of pain you should see a doctor immediately. Pain is the body’s number one way of telling you that something is up.
Back Pain and Tingling Toes – Back pain should always be taken seriously because it often means your spine is in some sort of discomfort. In this case, it could be a ruptured or herniated disk.
Pain in the Chest, Arms, Jaw, Throat, and Abdomen – Chest pain is something you should never become accustomed to; it is almost always a serious issue. If your chest pain radiates down your left arm, it is a huge indicator of a heart attack. You should see a cardiovascular specialist immediately.
Intense Toothaches – Toothaches feel horrible. They send shooting pains all throughout your jaw and head. Sometimes even worse, they can wake you up at night! If you are being awoken by toothaches it could mean you are suffering from cluster headaches – which can quickly lead to a stroke.
Confusion or Changes in Mental State – If you suddenly forget where you are it can be rather scary. I mean, I’ve never done that before, but I would imagine it to be. If you experience sudden confusion or a change in your mental status, it can’t be a good sign. Quickly seek medical attention.
Changes in Vision – A sudden change in your vision can be a major indicator of something wrong. Blurred vision can be the result of a serious injury, so be sure to get it taken care of. If you can’t see like you used to, see a doctor. It might be something serious.
Persistent Vomiting – Vomiting is no fun and I don’t think anyone enjoys it. Regardless of the discomfort, vomiting is one of the number one ways your body tells you something isn’t right. If you can’t stop throwing up, I’m sure you’ll agree that you need to see a healthcare professional.
Coughing up Blood – Coughing up blood is terrifying to experience! When you hock up that big cough and it’s red, it is sure to give anyone a shock. This is a major indicator that something serious is wrong. You should go to a hospital immediately!
