7 Delicious Ways to Enjoy a Guilt Free Breakfast

Healthy eating seems to be a thing of the past with the lifestyle that people lead in today’s world. A world of convenience and fast food, but does it have to be that way; start with breakfast!

Whether you are an intellect, an athlete, a basket case, a princess or a criminal, you have got to fuel your body right. To live a healthy disease free life it is important to fuel your body with the right food. Starting with breakfast, the most important meal of the day! Here are 7 Guilt free breakfast options to start you out on the right foot.

Yogurt Parfait

  • 4oz container of Dairy-free yogurt
  • ½ Cup organic Berries of your choice
  • ½ Cup of your favorite Granola(Recipe will be provided below)

Method:

Simply layer your ingredients in a cup, I like to start with the yogurt, then berries, a small layer of granola, and then finish off with another layer of yogurt and the remaining granola.

I prefer the SO Delicious brand of yogurt, and my favorite is the Raspberry flavor.

Almond Banana Smoothie

  • 1 Cup Almond Milk
  • Handful of Broccoli Rabe
  • 2 Tbsp Almond Butter
  • 2 Frozen Bananas

Method:

Add all the ingredients to a blender, and top with ice if desired.

Rainbow Veggie and Kale Scrambled Eggs

  • 3 Organic Cage Free Eggs
  • 1 Cup Chopped Kale
  • 1 Carrot Shredded
  • 2 Baby Sweet Peppers
  • 1 Clove Garlic
  • ½ Avocado
  • 2 Tbsp Organic Coconut Oil

Method:

Sautee the kale, carrot, pepper, and garlic over medium heat; add seasoning of choice and saute for 5-7 minutes. Whisk up the eggs and add them to the skillet and stir unto the eggs reach your desired level of doneness. Top eggs with avocado and enjoy!

Avocado Toast

  • 1 Avocado
  • 2 Slices of Ezekiel Bread
  • ¼ Tsp Chili Flakes
  • Salt and Pepper

Method:

Mash the avocado in a bowl and season with the chili, salt, and pepper. Spread the mixture on the toast. Enjoy!

Apple Cinnamon Oat Meal

  • 1 Apple chopped into small pieces
  • 2 Tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp Organic Coconut oil
  • ½ Cup Oats
  • 1 Cup Almond Milk

Method:

Saute the apples in the coconut oil, and stir in the cinnamon. I like to cook the apple for around 10 minutes, allowing them to release their natural juices in with the cinnamon. Add ½ cup oats into the pan and cover with the milk. I like to let mine cook on the stove for around 10 minutes.

I like to top mine with chopped pecans.

Tropical Smoothie Bowl

  • 1 Cup Plain Organic Yogurt
  • ½ Organic Frozen Banana
  • 3 Organic Fresh Banana
  • 3 Organic Frozen
  • 6 Organic Strawberries
  • ½ Organic Kiwi
  • ½ Cup Frozen Pineapple
  • 1 Tbsp Shredded Coconut
  • 1 Tbsp Chia Seeds
  • 1 Tbsp Granola

Method:

Blend the yogurt and the frozen fruit together to make a smoothie, I like to add a splash of coconut milk sometimes when I want a thinner smoothie. Add the smoothie to a bowl.

Layer the sliced fruit, coconut, oatmeal and chia seeds on top. Enjoy!

Sweet Potato Breakfast Bowl With Kale and Avocado

  • ½  Large Organic Sweet Potato
  • 1 Tbsp grapeseed or Coconut oil
  • 1 Clove Garlic
  • 5 Oz Baby Spinach
  • 5 Oz Kale
  • 1 Fried egg or poached egg
  • ½ Avocado
  • Salt and Pepper

Method:

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F.

Wash and pat dry the sweet potato. Poke holes in it using a fork, wrap in foil, and bake for 60 to 70 minutes, or until soft with juices seeping out.

In a large skillet, add the oil and heat to medium-low. Add the garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add the spinach and chopped kale to the skillet and cover with a lid. Allow the greens to cook until soft, about 3 minutes.

Add the greens to a bowl, add sliced sweet potato, avocado, and fried egg.

I top mine with sriracha and chia seeds. Enjoy!
